時間回到了2003年夏天,突破歷史高溫的熾熱,造成了香檳區葡萄的提早收成及過熟。正當香檳區各大酒莊都為這過熱的年份一籌莫展時,Tarlant卻用了妙計:為了保存酒中水果獨特的酸度,他們選擇在曙光初現時採收葡萄,以不加糖方式,釀造了這枝La Matinale (酒名的意思解晨早),感覺卻意外地清新及令人印象深刻。在不理想的年份中,Tarlant居然能釀造出這枝佳釀,正好反映其巧手工藝。Tarlant也成功在炎熱的年份中,找到了曙光,更將之變成陳年佳釀。

The temperature of summer in 2003 was historically high, resulting in the early harvest and over ripeness of grapes in Champagne regions and becoming a headache to wineries in Champagne region. To fight against the abnormal weather, Tarlant figured out a method to preserve the acidity of the fruit: they harvested the grapes at the crack of dawn to make this non-dosed “La Matinale”, which means “early” in English. It was suprisingly impressive and makes drinkers feel the freshness of dawn. Even in an unsatisfactory year, the skillful and experienced Tarlant could still make impressive vintage Champagne at the crack of dawn.

Tasting Notes:
這枝來自曙光的酒展現出多重層次,包括牛軋糖的味道,也有成熟水果的感覺。口感豐富而帶一點礦物感。酒體飽滿豐盈,令人印象深刻。
The wine of the crack of dawn shows much complexity with a lot of nougat flavors. It has the touch of ripe fruit, rich and mineral on the palate, full-bodied, rich and intense.
