Single malt from Islay's Caol Ila distillery, released as part of the Distillers Edition series. This one was matured from 2006 to 2017, including a finishing period in casks which has previously held Moscatel sherry. The sweetness imparted by the sherry casks plays very well with the salinity of Caol Ila's whisky - excellent stuff every year, this is.
