Casamigos Anejo Tequila

The Casamigos tequila brand was created by long-time friends George Clooney and Rande Gerber, as well as Discovery Land Company founder Mike Meldman. It was originally made just for them to enjoy as their own house tequila, one that they could sip and savour with friends and family. But in January 2013, they released it to the public! The Casamigos range includes a Blanco, Reposado and an Añejo expression.

From the Casamigos range comes an Añejo tequila, which has spent 14 months ageing in American white oak casks. This maturation has resulted in a tequila brimming with toffee penny, roasted agave, dark chocolate and sweetly spiced oak notes.

Tasting Note:
NOSE
Rich, with refreshing black-pepper hit. There’s some perky spiciness in there, plus sweet vanilla and custard notes from the barrel.
PALATE
Nice agave savouriness, balanced by creamy notes from the oak, enlivened by black pepper. Still fresh and vibrant.
FINISH
Good balance between the creamy oak and fresh pepperiness. Elegant.
