Château Haut-Marbuzet is well-known winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region. It was one of the original Crus Bourgeois named in 1932, and was made a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in 2003. The vineyard is located on gravelly slopes mixed with clay and limestone, which is perfect for Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The grapes tend to be harvested late and aged in all new oak barrels.  The grand vin is generally regarded as being comparable in quality to many Cru Classe wines. Robert Parker describe its wines as the most sensual wine in Bordeaux.

The 2009 Haut-Marbuzet offers. vivacious crushed strawberry, cranberry and freshly tilled soil aromas. This Haut-Marbuzet is full of vim and vigar after a decade. The palate is very well balanced with sappy red berry fruit, veins of blueberry with well integrated oak that lends a smooth sheen towards the finish.
