Starting several years ago, Olivier Bernard and the team at Domaine de Chevalier made a strong commitment to Clos des Lunes, an ancient vineyard in Sauternes, among the finest in Bordeaux. Clos des Lunes oversees a vineyard of 75 hectares, blessed with a prestigious terroir. Relying on an intimate relationship with the terroir, the ultimate aim is to create one of the greatest dry white wines on the market.

Clos des Lunes is located in the heart of a small area encompassing the finest great growths of Sauternes, in the communes of Sauternes and Bommes. Historically, this terroir has always been recognized for its ability to produce top-quality sweet white wines.

Lune d’Argent is the heart of Clos des Lunes’ production. We firmly believe in the future of this legendary terroir and its truly original style. With a touch of French oak, the Sémillon is dense and rich, the Sauvignon Blanc refined and precise. This cuvée of dry white wine promises to convey all the magic of Sauternes.

Tasting Notes:
Light yellow color with pale green tints. With its purity of fruit and complexity of aromas, marked by citrus and exotic fruits (lychee, mango), the Lune d'Argent 2017 exudes all of the typical characteristics of its vintage. On the palate, the wine reveals a beautiful, full-bodied and intensely fruity structure, perfectly balancing the generosity of aromas with the tension created by a beautiful acidity. The palate ends with a persistent, mineral finish.
