(Allen Meadows' rating: 89-92 points)

Bruno Clair, founded the domaine which bears his name in 1979. He represents the sixth generation of winegrowers. The domaine owns a lot of excellent vineyards, at the beginning started with the plots in Marsannay and Fixin, the Dominode vineyard in Savigny-les-Beaune, and a large plot lying fallow in Morey-St.-Denis - "En la Rue de Vergy".

More vineyards were purchased by the estate in 1993, inlcuding Corton-Charlemagne, Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton, in 1996 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle was added,  in 2006, Bonnes-Mares acquired, and a plot in Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes in 2019, all these bring the size of the domaine to more than 27 hectares.

Tasting Notes:
(Allen Meadows' rating: 89-92 points)
This too is reduced though less so and it seems clear that the fruit is definitely ripe. That impression is enhanced by the lush if backward medium weight flavors that possess good muscle and excellent mid-palate density, all wrapped in a chewy, serious, austere and built-to-age finish. Wines from Grasses Têtes rarely drink well young and this particular version will also be no exception. (Drink: 2030+)
