Fontaine-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet Rough 2018 (AM:87-89)

1985年，Laurence Gagnard繼承了Domaine Gagnard-Delagrange的一部分，然後與丈夫Richard Fontaine-Jacques創立了酒莊。
Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard 一直向前，至今擁有 12 公頃的葡萄園，主要位於 Chassagne-Montrachet，另外於 Volnay 和 Pommard 亦有小量地塊。三分之二的葡萄用於白酒，三分之一用於紅酒。

木桶的影響並非無形，但感覺內斂，襯托出紅醋栗和黑加侖子的香氣。當中更夾雜了胡椒、香料和泥土的氣息。酒體較輕，很有活力，但結尾稍為乾身，可能由於在品飲前不久才加硫。(2020年4月品飲)

Founded in 1985 by Laurence Gagnard and her husband Richard Fontaine- Jacques after Laurence inherited part of Domaine Gagnard-Delagrange. Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard has not stopped growing and today it has 12 hectares of vineyards located mainly in Chassagne-Montrachet, as well as a few plots in Volnay and Pommard. Two-thirds of production is devoted to white wine, one-third to red.

Vinification:
Manual harvest. Fermentation using indigenous yeasts. Aged in oak barrels for up to 18 months, 15%-20% new barrel. Light fining and filtration.

A discreet but not invisible touch of wood sets off the pretty red and dark currant aromas that are also cut with hints of pepper, spice and earth. There is good verve to the lighter weight flavors that terminate in a slightly drying finish that is probably due to a recent sulfur addition and my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt.
