Von Nell-Breuning has been dedicated to the art of wine-growing in the Ruwer Valley since 1670.  Dr. Carmen von Nell-Breuning continues the family´s winemaking history into the 11th generation. The estate have produced elegant Riesling, including still wine and sparkling (Sekt).  In 2019 they switched their operations to \u003cstrong\u003ebiodynamic viticulture and achieve official Demeter class in 2023\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe delineated, enclosed Dominikanerberg vineyard is one of Germany’s rare monopoly estates, owned exclusively by the von Nell-Breuning family. 7 hectares of steep slopes and barren blue slate ground, Kaseler Dominikanerberg provides the perfect microclimatic contions for Riesling wines which are distinctive by their elegance and minerality, frequently exuding blackcurrant aromas. The grapes of this wine have grown on vines aging more than 45 years. The grapes are of Auslese grade, which means they will be harvested late.
