杯中洋溢着多種水果的味道,包括水煮草莓、櫻桃、红色覆盆子味糖果和香料。酒體輕盈至中等,味道悠長。單寧幼細,提供了一定的結構。可以立即享用,但未來5-10年相信會更加美好。


Mount Mary is one of the greatest wineries in Australia (Halliday Winery of the Year 2018). It was founded by John Middleton in the 1970s and is still family-owned and run today by John's grandson, Sam Middleson. 

They have always been the masters of Bordeaux and Burgundy varieties, and the team keep exploring the further potential of Mount Mary. They started to establish additional vineyard areas to plant the Rhone varieties in 2007. After years of hard works, they launched their "RP" (Rhone Project) under the label of Marli Russell.

Marli Middleton (nee Russell), co-founder of Mount Mary, was the inspiration behind the label in recognition of her enthusiasm for the family to continue the pursuit of new ideas.

55% Grenache, 20% each of Shiraz and Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault, each vinified separately. Hand-picked, bunch-sorted on vibrating tables, open-fermented, 10-14 days on skins, matured in large format French oak (1575-2500l). Tangy, zesty, supple red and black fruits, slinky tannins just so.

There is an array of fruit present on the nose including poached strawberry, cherries, redskin(raspberry-flavoured chewy confectionery), and spice. The palate is light to medium bodied but shows so much persistence and length. There is a very fine line of tannin through the spine of this wine offering some structure and giving it a savoury edge. Whilst this wine is ready to be drunk and enjoyed immediately we believe it will continue to improve over the next 5-10 years.
