Enira is the wine made in Bessa Valley
Founded by Count Stephan Von Neipperg, owner of renowned French estates such as Château Canon la Gaffelière, Bessa Valley lies in Bulgaria’s Rhodope Mountains, boasting a terroir that rivals Saint-Émilion. Grapes are hand‑harvested and aged in French oak barrels to craft Bordeaux blends of structure and value.
Awarded the Golden Cellar of Bulgaria, the estate is internationally recognized, with presence in prestigious retailers including Harrods.
Inspired by the valley as the Bessians were 2,500 years ago, the winemakers of Bessa Valley see themselves as the new Bessians. Guided by destiny, they craft wines with respect for nature, people, vines, and fruit—never in a hurry, always in harmony.
“Our wine is for pleasure – we serve it before dinner and during dinner. I’ve chosen Bulgaria because of the magnificent terroir. With Enira we revive the image of the Bulgarian wines worldwide. I can’t find competitive wine internationally like Enira."
-- Count Stephan von Neipperg (Owner of Ch. Canon la Gaffeliere (Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classe B), La Mondotte)

This is a lovely wine...Its structure, which impressed me initially, is very fine, though, and this has some character, too, which comes out with air. As it airs out, it seems refined, classy and graceful and remained persistent and interesting. This is an upgrade over the Enira Reserva in terms of depth and structure…and oak. The wine should integrate its oak a little better with a little more time, and needs to do so. However you look at it, it is going to add to the re-evaluation of what it means to be Bulgarian wine.
