Octomore 14.2 2016收成，2017年蒸餾。採用100% 蘇格蘭協奏曲大麥（Concerto barley），泥煤值ppm高達128.9。
14.1用美國波本威士忌首充桶熟成，而這款14.2於Oloroso雪莉首充桶 (40%)、Amarone首充桶(16%) 及再充桶(44%) 陳年5年，木桶來自西班牙和意大利知名葡萄酒產區。最後於法國橡木桶中混合，為單一麥芽威士忌增添深度和層次。

皮革、李子、紅加侖子、麥芽的香氣脫穎而出，接著是烤橡木以及肉桂、青蘋果和黑胡椒的香味。隨之而來的是煙燻味和獨特的紅果味，輔以麥芽和粥的穀物香氣。泥煤味深沉，帶有一絲燒過的石楠花和淡淡的煙絲味。

味道：
歐洲橡木的影響不容忽視，帶有一絲乾爽，與木質香料、煙燻橡木和烘焙咖啡的活力相平衡。燒烤的甜味、黑胡椒的味道與濃郁的水果蛋糕和乾果相得益彰。下一滴水，把酒桶帶來的煙燻味和果香釋放，帶來美妙的平衡，蘋果和梨的香氣漸濃。

收結：
煙燻麥芽、橡木和海鹽的味道在餘韻中沉澱下來，Octomore經典的泥煤煙燻味久久不散。

Octomore - Super-Heavily Peated Single Malt

Octomore single malts have defied received whisky wisdom since they were first distilled in 2002. Always super heavily peated and cask strength.
Octomore 14.2 is distilled in 2017, from the 2016 harvest. 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley and is malted to 128.9 PPM.
Instead of being matured in first fill bourbon casks, it is matured for 5 years, in a mix of first fill Oloroso (40%), first fill Amarone wine casks (16%) and second fill Amarone casks (44%). Hailing from the renowned wine regions of Spain and Italy respectively. The spirit is then brought together in French oak, adding depth and complexity to the single malt.
