Benromach可能開始時未必人人喜歡,一但愛上了便不能自拔了!這應是很多人對Benromach的印像,雖然位於Speyside,但屬於個性派,10年有花香,土地,香草,皮革,胡椒等,有些味道未必會聯想在一起,但就是非常匹配,有時這些香氣會令人想起坎貝爾鎮,是忍不住會一而再再而三喝而且是會令人記得的味道。

首充波本桶及雪莉桶熟成

Benromach蒸餾廠始創於1898年。曾一度停產,後來由家族開設的烈酒公司Gordon & MacPhail 收購。(以替世上最古老和稀有的單一麥芽威士忌熟成和裝瓶而聞名。)1998 年,由查理斯王子(即現在的查理斯三世)主持開幕儀式後,標誌着一種已失落的Speyside威士忌風格的復興。這意味着他們只用蘇格蘭的大麥、Chapelton Spring的泉水(軟水)以及輕微的泥煤煙來烘乾麥芽。
經過長時間的發酵過程,以及通過兩個定制的銅鍋蒸餾器進行雙重蒸餾後,就會放入首充的波本桶及雪莉桶來熟成,至少於傳統倉庫中陳年十年。

First-fill Bourbon and Sherry casks

Benromach distillery was built in 1898. It was closed for a period, and acquired by Gordon & MacPhail, a family-owned spirits company based in Elgin, Morayshire. (renowned for maturing and bottling some of the world’s oldest and rarest single malt whiskies.) 
When the the distillery was reopened by Prince Charles in 1998, it signalled the rediscovery of a lost style of Speyside single malt, 
which means they use Scottish barley, pure soft water rises in the Chapelton Spring and only malt their barley with just a whisper of peat smoke.
After long fermentation process and double distillation through two bespoke copper pot stills, the 10 Year Old matured in the first-fill Bourbon and Sherry casks in traditional dunnage-style warehouses.
