Château Rauzan-Ségla, ranked as a second growth in the 1855 classification of Margaux, is renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon–driven blend with richness and concentration. Founded in 1661 by Pierre Desmezures, who also owned Margaux and Latour, the estate later passed to the Baroness of Ségla, who gave it its current name. In 1994, Chanel acquired Rauzan-Ségla, adding it to a portfolio that includes Château Canon in Bordeaux and St. Supéry in Napa.
Since Chanel’s acquisition, quality has markedly improved: machine harvesting was eliminated, vineyards are managed plot by plot, and grapes are hand-sorted before aging in fine oak barrels. Under the leadership of Nicolas Audebert, Rauzan-Ségla and Canon have been restored to their full splendour, embodying Chanel’s philosophy of precision and artistry. Today, Rauzan-Ségla is admired for its elegance, balance, and consistency, often considered one of the finest among the second growths.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Rauzan-Ségla offers up an expressive nose of baked blackberries, kirsch, warm cassis and baked plums with hints of cigar box and tilled soil. Full-bodied, rich and expansive in the mouth, it has layer upon layer of bold red and black fruit preserves with earthy accents and a velvety texture, finishing long and lively.
