Nikka Whisky was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, the “Father of Japanese whisky”. Nikka is one of the largest whisky producers in Japan and worldwide known. It also owns Miyagkyo, Yoichi and Taketsuru.
Nikka Coffey Grain whisky is a signature grain whisky which was made from corn predominantly. Whisky distilled in a Coffey still which is a very traditional and rare patent still Nikka imported from Scotland in 1963. It is matured in old casks such as re-filled, remade and re-charred casks originally made from American oak to deliver the sweet and mellow flavors of Coffey distillates.
