在儲存葡萄酒的地方,非常細致的酒桶管理和有效率的混釀技術,都是葡萄酒能有高質素的關鍵,於 1993 年酒莊投資了可觀金額,建築了第二個木桶儲存室、裝瓶室和品試室。

Château Fonroque is the birthplace of the Moueix family in Saint Emilion. This property was bought in 1931 by Jean and Adèle, the great grandparents of Alain Moueix, who is now director of this lovely wine estate. The vineyard was managed on the basis of a programme of regular replanting and drainage work. The method of green harvesting, especially for young vines, is used systematically.
In the wine storehouse, the introduction of extremely careful management of barrels and efficiency in blending techniques are key contributions to quality. Considerable investments were made in 1993 which financed the construction of a second barrel storehouse, a bottling room and a tasting room.

Tasting Notes:
(2008)
Clay gives strength to the wine, limestone brings a stressed mineral character. Dark ruby/purple hued, offering sweet charcoal, black cherry, black currant and floral notes. Medium to full bodied, and rich with excellent purity, depth and power as well as supple tannins, this is impressive.
(2010)
A dense plum/ruby color with notes of loamy soil and sandstone intermixed with black cherry and black currant. Round and generously endowed, but with impressive elegance and purity, this medium to full-bodied shows surprisingly sweet tannin and accessibility.
