The Kaseler Nies'chen is one of the Ruwer Valley's premium estates and enjoys a reputation all over the world. The blue/coppery coloured deep-lying clay-slate dating from the Devonian era indicates the high mineral content of the ground at first glance. It produces wines of finely structured, subtle minerality, with well-balanced acid and lots of fruit, body and play. The Nies'chen is a south-facing slope with an inclination of around 60%, which give the wines their unique characters.

Having matured in the bottle for several years, the wine shows lots of expression. It is a very harmonious wine with flavour to yellow-fruits: apricots and peach, accompanied by herbal notes. The wine has depth and elegance, with lingering after-taste. It is a great accompaniment to fish, veal and chicken. It also goes well with mushrooms and different type of vegetables.
