Benromach蒸餾廠始創於1898年。曾一度停產,後來由家族開設的烈酒公司Gordon & MacPhail 收購。(以替世上最古老和稀有的單一麥芽威士忌熟成和裝瓶而聞名。)1998 年,由查理斯王子(即現在的查理斯三世)主持開幕儀式後,標誌着一種已失落的Speyside威士忌風格的復興。他們只用四種原材料:蘇格蘭大麥、Chapelton Spring的泉水(軟水)、酵母及人性化的觸感。

這款Peat Smoke單一麥芽威士忌僅限小量生產,採用最優質的大麥麥芽,並添加高含量的泥炭煙,ppm值為42(30以上屬高泥煤含量)。在首充的波本桶熟成。

First-fill Bourbon barrels

Benromach distillery was built in 1898. It was closed for a period, and acquired by Gordon & MacPhail, a family-owned spirits company based in Elgin, Morayshire. (renowned for maturing and bottling some of the world’s oldest and rarest single malt whiskies.) 
When the the distillery was reopened by Prince Charles in 1998, it signalled the rediscovery of a lost style of Speyside single malt. The only ingredients they use are 
Scottish barley, pure soft water rises in the Chapelton Spring,  yeast and a human touch.

This Peat Smoke single malt whisky only produced in very small batch, using the finest barley malted with high level of peat smoke, this release is 42 ppm. Matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels.

Aroma: 
Very rich smoke with fragrant vanilla and light citrus zest. Hints of apples develop accompanied by white chocolate.

Palate: 
Smooth with toasted oak, honey and sweet ripe fruit. Butterscotch and marshmallow flavours lead to a lemon sherbet all alongside sweet smoke.

Finish:
Mouth-coating sweetness and bonfire embers.
