Chevalier de Lascombes

Chevalier de Lascombes is the second wine of Château Lascombes.

The estate was established in the 17th century and named after Knight Antoine de Lascombes, its earliest recorded owner. One of his descendants, Jean-François de Lascombes—a legal advisor to the Bordeaux Parliament and royal naval commissioner—further developed the château and invested in elevating its wine quality.

The grand vin of Château Lascombes was classified as a Second Growth in the historic 1855 Bordeaux Classification. In 2011, the estate was acquired by the French mutual insurance group MACSF, which modernized its winemaking facilities.

Chevalier de Lascombes is crafted from grapes grown on younger vines. Though softer in style and fruit-forward in character, it still displays elegance and depth. It is approachable in its youth, yet possesses aging potential of over ten years.
