Caillou Blanc is the dry white wine of the Médoc Grand Cru Classé Château Talbot. The estate, located in Saint-Julien with more than 100 hectares of vineyards, is one of the most renowned in the Médoc. In 1917, Château Talbot was acquired by Désiré Cordier, and later passed to his son Georges Cordier, the second-generation owner.

Passionate about white wines, Georges Cordier was among the first to replant white vines in the Médoc, creating Caillou Blanc and making Château Talbot one of the rare classified growths to produce both red and white wines. Predominantly Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Sémillon, Caillou Blanc embodies an aromatic, lively, and elegant style, offering a distinctive expression of Château Talbot.

A very concentrated white that’s reductively flinty and powerful, showing aromas of citrus fruit, pralines and pastry with touches of white sesame seeds, toast, smoke, lemons and custard. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with intense flavors and a long, compressed finish. Hints of wood spices and phenolic bitterness at the end. Give it one more year to integrate.
