Château d’Yquem is Bordeaux's legendary estate, with a winemaking heritage dating back to 1666, and stands as the region's sole Premier Cru Supérieur. Beyond its renowned sweet wines, the estate also produces an exceptionally rare dry white, "Y" (Ygrec), with an extremely limited annual output rarely exceeding 1,000 cases.
The 2022 vintage was one of the hottest and driest on record in Bordeaux. To preserve the grapes' natural acidity and pure fruit aromas, the estate began picking in the early morning hours as early as August 9. Aged 12 months in French oak barrels, the 2022 "Y" masterfully overcomes the challenges of a warm vintage, showcasing remarkable poise and balance.

This is a big white with sliced apple, pineapple and lychee fruit. It’s full-bodied and dense with lots of fruit and phenolics on the mid-palate. A roundness and power at the end. From the same plots as Yquem. Drink or hold.
