酒莊坐落於西班牙加泰羅尼亞南面的星級產區 Priorat，由兩位摯友 Sergi Ferrer-Selat 和 Raul Bobet 共同創立。他們深深尊重當地的葡萄種植與釀酒傳統，選用逾百年老藤的 Carignan 和 Grenache 品種，並堅持採用有機耕種，展現風土的精髓。

Since the release of its first wine in 2005, Ferrer Bobet quickly emerged as a rising star in the Spanish wine scene. In 2008, the flagship Ferrer Bobet Selecció Especial was even featured as the 11th Apostle in the renowned manga The Drops of God.
The Vinyes Velles (VV) series reflects the winery’s uncompromising commitment to quality: grapes undergo double selection before fermentation in small wooden vats, followed by aging for a minimum of 15 months in fine-grained French oak barrels. The wine combines aromas of blackberry fruit, graphite minerality, and Mediterranean herbs, with a silky texture and layered complexity. Wine Advocate, James Suckling, and Pedro Ballesteros MW have all awarded it scores above 93 points, recognizing its elegance, purity, and structural balance.

Vinification:
Grapes from steep slate hillsides and terraces picked by hand into 10kg boxes. Selected berry by berry on a double sorting table and then transferred to tanks by gravity. Fermentation in 15 and 30 hL wooden tanks.
Ageing:
Malolactic conversion and aging in new fine-grained, medium and lightly toasted French oak barrels for 15 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Bottle aged for a minimum 18 months.

The 2020 Vinyes Velles has abundant, slightly dusty tannins and an earthy profile with notes of graphite, wet slate and dark berry fruit mixed with aromatic Mediterranean herbs and a generous dose of sweet spices from the élevage of 16 months in 225-liter French oak barrels.

Consistently outstanding, showing ripe black cherries, blueberries, cocoa nibs, incense and dried violets. A touch of wet stones. Fluid and fine-grained on the medium-bodied palate with ripe, concentrated, red and blue fruits. Tense, silky tannins. The long and juicy finish lingers with fruit vibrancy.

Elegant restrained aromatic expression, with a graceful red fruit note over discreet blackberry and spicy tones. Suave but dense in the palate, very precise, deftly made with juiciness and a round and easy-going texture. The cleanliness, with not a hint of meaty or volatile aromas, is amazing. More intellectual than hedonist, a very good wine.
