La Mondotte lies on the eastern Saint-Emilion plateau, next to Troplong-Mondot. This 4.5-hectare vineyard is a true gem, blessed with clay-limestone soils, fine natural drainage, and superb sun exposure. The terroir encourages deep root systems and ensures early, complete ripening, especially for Merlot.
The vines average 50 years of age, planted with 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. Combined with meticulous viticulture and winemaking, these elements consistently yield wines of remarkable character.
La Mondotte is deeply colored, richly structured, and opulent, yet marked by finesse from its exceptional terroir. With an annual production capped at just 11,000 bottles, it remains rare and highly sought after.

Another brilliant effort from a small, 45-year-old vineyard on the clay and limestone plateau above Pavie and Pavie Decesse , this blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc was cropped at 30 hectoliters per hectare. A classically structured St.-Emilion, it boasts an opaque purple color as well as a gorgeous nose of black raspberries, creme de cassis, blueberries, espresso roast, and pen ink. Huge tannin, massive body, and tremendous richness as well as depth suggest it will benefit from 4-5 years of cellaring, and should drink well for 20-25.
