一切始於1996年當來自Bergamo的工業家Paolo Radici在附近的山野尋找一個寧靜地方休息,當時他在他的家族生意Radici Partecipazioni仍擔當重要角色,然後他在沒有期望下在Franciacorta遇上了機會。

由Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli擁有,位於Erbuscothe路邊老村莊求售,Arturo是1900年代來自Brescia的著名鋼琴家。建築物位於山丘 上,俯視山下獨特的葡萄田,面積十公頃。眼前似曾相識的畫面重燃他的兒時夢想,就是由一個熱愛飲酒的鑑賞家,轉化為懂釀酒的生產者。

距離大屋不遠,釀酒工作於酒窖開始,風格傳統,亦與周圍環境保持和諧,寛敞的地庫容許以最佳技術釀造發酵,而上層則興建了氣氛閒適的試飲室。

土壤貧脊但變化多端,面向西北令葡萄較遲熟,所以收成季節會於一年中較清涼時期。在產量方面他們不會妥協,只限於55擔葡萄。

釀造:
由人手收成放進盒內,在壓搾前以人手篩選。在八月第三星期開始,整顆粒輕柔壓搾。於溫度操控的不鏽鋼大缸內初步發酵,30%會於法國橡木桶內發酵。

基酒:
由 Chardonnay 混製的基酒

二次發酵:
以Franciacorta的方法,低百分比的liqueur de tirage以獲得更幼細和奶脂狀的氣泡。陳年是在除渣前,和酒渣一起最少30個月。

品酒筆記:
淺稻草黃色,配以淡淡的綠色影子。氣泡幼細,連綿不斷而持久,泡沫小巧。香氣優雅,包括新鮮水果如菠蘿、梨子、桃子、酸莓,配以輕柔的黑醋和如八角、希臘黑醋,亦有如廣玉蘭合歡金銀花的白花、如芫茜種子和粉紅胡椒的香料味,加上奶油蛋卷、熱那亞蛋糕與甜杏仁和堅果逐漸演變為洋槐蜜。味道密集而平衡,帶有一點新鮮酸度,與其甜美配合得宜,酒的結構飽滿、豐富、美味和複雜。收結味道帶有蜜糖、香料、花卉和水果,最後有少許(拿破崙風格)的酸梅。

 

It all started in 1996 when Paolo Radician indutrialist from Bergamo, was seeking a quiet retreat somewhere in the nearby hillside while still playing a key role in the family business, Radici Partecipazioni, that he came across an unexpected opportunity in Franciacorta.

Just down the road from Erbuscothe old estate belonging to Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli was up for sale. The latter, a pianist from Brescia, considered one of the finest musical talents of the 1900’s.The building is situated on a hillock overlooking a morainic landscape: and here it was, the vineyard kingdom, ten hectares, a unique cru. A coaxing image that rekindles his boyhood dream: to make wine and grow from being a fervent connoisseur to an actual wine producer.

Not too far away from the house the work started on the cellar, traditionally styled and in total keeping with the surroundings. The spacious basement rooms allow for vinification and fermentation with the best possible technological support while upstairs cozy wine tasting rooms were constructed.

The type of soil in the vineyard, poor yet variegated; it faces north-west thus delaying the ripening of the grapes so that the harvest is in a cooler period of the year. No compromises regarding yield per hectare, as the maximum limit is fixed at 55 quintals of grapes.

Vinification: 
By hand in boxes with manual selection of the clusters before pressing. It starts in the third week of August. Soft pressing of the entire clusters and initial fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Approximately the 30% ferments in aged French oak barriques.

Cuvée:
Blend of Chardonnay base wines.

Secondary fermentation:
Obtained with Franciacorta method with a low percentage of “liqueur de tirage” to obtain finer and creamier bubbles. Ageing period for at least thirty months on the lees before disgorging.

Tasting Notes:
Colour: light straw yellow with greenish shades.
Perlage: very fine, continuous and persistent, with a very fine and compact froth.
Bouquet: delicate aromas of unripe fruit (pineapple, pear, peach and sour cherry) with a light balsamic and vegetal sensation (star anise and Greek balsamic), of white flowers (magnolia grandiflora, acacia blossom and honeysuckle), of spices (coriander seeds and pink pepper), pan brioches and Genoese cake with a sweet almond and nut note, fading into acacia honey.
Flavour: dense and well-balanced, with a hint of fresh acidity which perfectly matches with the sweetness and the structure of the wine; full, rich, sapid, complex and very fine. The aftertaste gives honey, spices, flowers and fruit notes, with a final perception of sour cherry (Napoleon type).
