Bergerie de l'Hortus White 2014 / 2017

FRW00091

Vintage

Sens Team (12/22)

Sens Team (01/23)

This is a wonderful blend sourced from young vineyards of Domaine de L'Hortus, including indigenous grapes to show its unique characters. Especially Bourboulenc (Old variety originated from Vaucluse (Provence), show citrus with medium aroma intensity and hints of smoke and Roussanne, aromatic, herbal tea, spring blossom and beautiful acidity for medium term cellaring.

Domaine de L'Hortus wines are from the great Terroir of Pic St Loup. This range comes in three colours : red, rosé and white. The red grapes grow in land parcels low in the foothills, whilst the whites grow at the bottom of the valley. In both cases the plants are less exposed to the elements than those that grow on the higher slopes. Overall, the grapes mature later than those destined for the Domaine de l’ Hortus range. t’s a combination of soil type and climate that results in the grapes ripening very late. But it also results in the wine’s excellent balance between acidity and aromatic complexity.
