The Domaine William Fèvre, the largest owner of Grands Crus in Chablis. 1959 marked the first harvest of William Fèvre. The domaine remained family-owned until 1998, when it was acquired by the Henriot group, joined Artémis Domaines in 2022, and since 2024 has belonged to Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite).
Head winemaker Didier Séguier, formerly assistant winemaker at Bouchard Père & Fils, brought extensive experience to the domaine. He transformed what had been a heavily oaked style of Chablis into one that is far more terroir-driven and authentically expressive of Chablis.
Montmains Premier Cru is rooted in deep soils over airy Kimmeridgian limestone, with marl and clay. Covering 3.89 hectares across the lieux-dits Montmains, Butteaux and Forêt, it is highly representative of this classic Chablis terroir.

The 2021 Chablis 1er Cru Montmains delivers notes of green apple, ripe lemon oil, white flowers and clam liquor, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and racy palate that's fine-boned and precise, concluding with a bright, saline finish.
