From The Barrel在1985年推出,用上穀物威士忌、宮城峽和余市單一麥芽威士忌來調和。其完整風味和濃郁度,就像「來自桶中」一樣,原汁原味。背後的秘密在於獨特的組合,它用上100多種不同批次的麥芽和穀物威士忌。這種複雜的結合令各種成份協調一致,從而產生醇厚的口感。大多數這種「已婚」的威士忌,裝瓶前都會用水稀釋,將酒精度調整至 40-45%,但「From the Barrel」則使用最少的水,酒精度設定為51.4%。

Nikka Whisky was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, the “Father of Japanese whisky”. Nikka is one of the largest whisky producers in Japan and  worldwide known. It also owns Miyagkyo, Yoichi and Taketsuru.

Nikka From The Barrel is a blend of a grain whisky and Miyagikyo and Yoichi single malts which was released in 1985. The development of this expression started with an aim to deliver full flavors and richness of whisky like "from the barrel", which only blenders can sniff and taste.
The secret behind its gorgeous flavor is the unique combination, the complex blending of more than 100 different batches of malt and grain whiskies. This "marriage" process harmonizes all components in the formula, resulting in a mellow taste. Most "married" whiskeys are adjusted to an alcohol content of 40-45% by diluting with water before bottling, but "From the Barrel" uses minimal dilution water and is set at 51.4% alcohol content.

Refined and complex. Floral (lilac), fruity (apricot), spicy (clove) and leathery.

Palate:
Powerful, firm. Spicy (pepper), oaky flavours evolving on ripe fruits (peach), caramelised apples and flowers (honeysuckle).

Finish:
Long and complex. Ripe fruits (prune, peach) on a background of oak-infused vanilla notes.
