(2011)
2011的Canon La Gaffeliere比較少異國情調,而相對較為含蓄,但它展現出如黑加侖子,甘草,樟木及森林的氣息。除了有複雜度,酒體中等至濃厚,有較集中的木香,及純潔的美麗。

(2012)
這支如紅寶石,紫色的2012年份酒,有著純潔的黑加侖子及黑車厘子果香,加上有聖誕香料及土壤香味。酒體厚重而奔放,收結的單寧較輕盈。完美平衡展現出純淨與質感。絕對是Neipperg伯爵的傑作,他從沒有犯過任何過錯。

(2016)

Château Canon La Gaffelière is located on the outskirts of the medieval town of Saint-Emilion, at the southern foot of the slope.

The 19.5 hectare vineyard has a complex, outstanding terroir of clay-limestone and clay-sand soil. The topsoil is primarily sandy, increasingly so as one moves away from the slope.

Vinification:
In wooden vats for 30 days. Extraction by pneumatic pigeage (punching down the cap)

Ageing:
In new oak barrels (80%) on the lees for 18 months. No fining or filtering

Tasting Notes:
(2011)The 2011 Canon La Gaffeliere is less exotic and open-knit than usual, but it exhibits beautiful notes of black currants, licorice, camphor and forest floor. A burgeoning complexity as well as medium to full body and well-integrated wood are found in this pure beauty.

(2012)
The dense ruby/purple 2012 offers pure blackcurrant and black cherry fruit along with some notes of Christmas spices and earth. It is full-bodied and opulent, with light tannins in the finish. This is a beauty of impeccable balance, great purity and texture. Kudos to von Neipperg, who rarely ever seems to make a mistake.

(2016)
The 2016 Canon la Gaffeliere offers one of the most cerebral aromatics from this Saint Emilion estate: mineral-rich red and black fruit, quite edgy, almost flinty in style. The focus of these aromas that are wired directly into the olfactory senses. The palate is very well balanced and governed by the Cabernet component. The black fruit is lifted by some lovely graphite notes that lend it a very Left Bank-like personality. It is fresh, taut and linear with a very persistent finish. Unlike other vintages of Canon la Gaffelière, this will require four to five years in bottle. As good as the 2015, it might even surpass it.
