這三十多年來,Francois Gilbert 和 Philippe Gaillard 一直與葡萄酒結下不解緣。他們是酒評家,亦在南法共同創辦了酒莊 Chateau Gilbert & Gaillard。
2022 年他們購買了第二間酒莊 Château de Thésée,前身是 Domaine du Bouc。Philippe Gaillard 在鄰近的村莊長大,經常夢想擁有這位於謝爾河谷 (Cher valley) 的葡萄園。
14 公頃的葡萄園位於 Touraine Chenonceaux, Loire 的中心地帶,朝南俯瞰 River Cher。這土地向來以栽種 Sauvignon Franc 聞名,葡萄在低溫下浸漬和發酵,以保留風土帶來的礦物感的微妙變化。

For over thirty years, Francois Gilbert and Philippe Gaillard have been associated with wine. They are the wine critics and established the Chateau Gilbert & Gaillard together. 2022 they bought their second vineyard,  Château de Thésée, formerly known as Domaine du Bouc.
Philippe Gaillard grew up in the neighbouring village and often dreamed about this  property, located on one of the most prestigious vineyard sites in the Cher valley. 
Its 14 hectares of vine located at the heart of Touraine Chenonceaux, Loire, south-facing overlooking the Cher, which shows the ancient prestigious terroir character. Everthing done slowly, maceration and fermentation at low temperature to preserve the most subtle nuances of minerals of the terroir.

Terroirs:
The harvest comes from a very fine siliceous terroir which allows the Sauvignons to express a very refined mineral character.

Vinification:

Vinification at low temperatures to preserve the aromatic potential of the grape. On fine lees with stirring in stainless steel vats.

Tasting Notes:
Pretty, bright pale gold color. Very expressive nose with tones of white flowers and citrus. The palate is intense, fleshy, and well-perfumed in a very Sauvignon-style register.

Food Pairing:
Well pair with rack of lamb with honey and rosemary.
