Lalande de Pomerol

Country of Origin:
Bordeaux, France

Red/Rouge (Still)

Grape Varieties:
80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon  (2010)

Tasting Notes:
The wine offers up notes of black raspberry and blueberry pie intermixed with incense, lead pencil shavings and plenty of underlying floral notes. Some background oak is also present. The wine is medium to full-bodied, beautifully pure, voluptuously textured, rich, long and hedonistic and satisfying.  (2010)

An opaque blue/purple color is followed by aromas of blueberry jam, melted chocolate, spring flowers, graphite and subtle oak. Big, chewy and delicious, it showcases super-ripe Merlot picked late from small yields. Both elegant and powerful, this is a rich, textured, full-throttle claret.  (2011)
