2005年,酒莊釀造出首支Pinot Noir開始,Nanny Goat葡萄園一直致力於釀造出優雅,集中而平衡的美酒,同時讓每一籃葡萄都得以訴說自己的故事。釀酒師Alan Peters Oswald是大洋洲地區十大傑出年輕釀酒師之一,亦是當中唯一一位來自紐西蘭。

Queensberry系列100%來自單一葡萄園Queensberry,獲BioGro有機認證。不論對環境,還是質量方面,從這單一葡萄的系列可以看到有機和可持續種植的優點。健康的土壤和強韌的葡萄藤,對葡萄的質素和酒的風格都有明顯的影響。

釀造:
人手採收,並將整串葡萄放入不銹鋼缸中,靜止一會後輕輕按壓,並轉移到 500 升的法國橡木大桶(20% 新桶)中。然後天然發酵,偶爾攪拌酒糟以增強口感。陳年10個月期間進行乳酸發酵。

毫無疑問,是礦物與純淨的果香,加上白堊土的香氣、成熟的梨子和白桃香,然後是法國橡木桶淡淡的甜香。質感絲滑,點點火藥和白色水果的味道。淡淡的鹹感伴隨着恰到好處的酸度,餘韻悠長、複雜、美味。

Nanny Goat Vineyard is named after the wild goats that roam the mountainous terrain of the Central Otago. It seemed to be a fair reflection of the determination to succeed, adapt and thrive in the rugged and often extreme climates of Central Otago – much like the nimble and sure footed wild goats of the region have done.
From the inception and the inaugural release of Pinot Noir in 2005, Nanny Goat Vineyard has strived to produce wines with elegance, concentration and balance while allowing each individual parcel of fruit to tell its own unique story. Winemaker Alan Peters Oswald – one of the top 10 young winemakers of the year from Australasia and the only winemaker from NZ.

The Queensberry range is 100% sourced from the home vineyard in Queensberry. BioGro Certified organic, this single vineyard range sees the benefits of the adoption of organic and regenerative viticultural practices, both environmentally and qualitatively. The effect of healthy soils and resilient vines is evident in the quality of fruit and characteristics of this wine.

Winemaking
Hand picked and whole bunch pressed to stainless steel tank for a brief period of settling before being gently mixed and transferred to 500L French oak Puncheon (20% new) with high solids and left to ferment naturally with occasional lees stirring to enhance palate weight and texture. The wine underwent full Malolactic fermentation in barrel during its 10 months of maturation.

There’s no mistaking the mineral and pure fruit lift in the bouquet with a fine chalk-like scent of soil with ripe pear and white peach then light sweet scents of French Oak. Silky smooth on the palate with a light gun-flint and lees quality, flavours of white fleshed orchard fruits, a light saline quality sits perfectly alongside the acid-line. Lengthy, complex and delicious.
